A Wiltshire Winter Wedding
This is the last of my 2010 weddings that I'll be blogging. A vintage year, I think, and the overall impression to me is that weddings are becoming increasingly varied. We've photographed at a humanist ceremony by a lake in West Sussex, a 1940's themed wedding at the Cabinet War Rooms, on a boat on the River Thames, a wood in Cambridge, a seafood restaurant in Margate, as well as the more traditional churches, hotels and marquees. Jenny and Tristram enjoyed a seriously chilly day in a lovely old village church and marquee. It was a great day for us as photographers, although nipping into the church a few seconds before Jenny entered I nearly had an equipment crisis... The vastly different interior and exterior temperatures had caused my lens to suddenly fog-up with condensation and without a quick polish the pictures of Jenny and her Father coming down the aisle would have been lost. One to remember for the future...
One of Jenny's relatives runs an Events Co-ordination company and was responsible for the marquee and fabulous table-settings. A useful connection for a bride!
And finally...
I can't decide if it's my favourite picture from 2010, as there are so many to choose from! It was probably one of the trickiest to take, as nimbly skipping around a bustling dance floor trying to compensate for ever-changing disco lights does not usually a great photo make...
But it was without question my last picture of 2010.
Happy New Year!
